“D-1″: Rain updates fans on his activities the day before his enlistment

On October 10th, Rain updated his fans on ‘D-1′, the final day before his army enlistment.
After putting up a photo, Rain wrote, “I guess such is my life even until the day before I have to enlist. I visited my mother’s grave before going to edit the recordings from my concert.  It will air through Mnet the night after I enlist.  I ask that you all catch it live.”
Rain performed at his final concert, ‘Last of the Best‘, yesterday at the ‘Kangnam Hallyu Festival‘.  He will be enlisting on October 11th as an active duty soldier.

2PM reveals full MV for their Japanese single “Ultra Lover”!

Just a week ago, Korean group 2PM unveiled their music video teaser for their original Japanese single, “Ultra Lover“.  Though the single is not set for release until November 2nd, the boys have released the full MV in all its 3-minute glory!
This music video features the members moving from room to room and close-ups of their stylish choreography.  The chic MV fits nicely with their new catchy and upbeat song.

Top producers band together to produce C-REAL’s debut album

A bevy of top producers have set out to support the debut of a new girl group named ‘C-REAL‘.
According to N.A.P. Entertainment, the girls’ debut album consists of work from Choi Kap Won at the lead, Brave Brothers, Kim Do Hoon, Wheesung, PJ, and Shinsadong Tiger.
K-Pop fans are already familiar with the hits of Brave Brothers, Shinsadong Tiger, and Wheesung.  Kim Do Hoon is the composer behind G.NA while PJ has produced for groups like AKB48 in Japan.
The reason these PDs are banding together to support the girl group is because they believe in the talents the girls have to offer.  Toted as the ‘five-member IU‘, the girls recently released their CF for their title track, “No No No No No“.  The producer behind the track hasn’t been revealed yet, adding to the anticipation of its release.
Their debut album, “Round 1“, will be released on October 12th.

Kembali pada Mei tahun ini, Daesung terlibat dalam kecelakaan mobil yang merenggut nyawa seorang pria dan akhirnya memilih untuk sementara meninggalkan industri musik. Sekarang G-Dragon yang telah ditangkap karena merokok ganja. Mereka telah cukup jauh memulai sejak debut mereka, tapi 2011 tampaknya menjadi tahun terburuk mereka.
Banyak dari jadwal masa depan mereka menjadi sia-sia. Pertama, GD&TOP berencana untuk merilis sebuah single baru di Jepang antara bulan November dan Desember, namun dengan insiden baru-baru ini, itu tidak mungkin terjadi. Selanjutnya, G-Dragon sedang dalam proses comeback dengan sebuah solo baru, pertengahan Oktober. Dan semua rencana comeback telah diberhentikan.
Ini bukan pertama kalinya Big Bang mengalami jeda panjang. Sebelum kecelakaan mobil Daesung, kelompok ini dalam persiapan untuk musik baru dan rilis konser. Sayangnya, rencana tersebut terpaksa batal ketika berita kecelakaan itu menggebrak media. Jelas bahwa Daesung mengambil kerugian besar dengan peristiwa malang itu. Bahkan setelah 5 bulan, tidak ada tanda-tanda bahwa idol itu akan kembali ke industri. Analis industri telah memperkirakan bahwa G-Dragon mungkin harus mengambil istirahat panjang seperti rekannya tersebut. Mengingat betapa ketat pemerintah Korea dalam hal penggunaan ganja, prediksi ini sangat wajar.
Menurut laporan, G-Dragon sempat menggunakan obat pada bulan Mei dan setelah penyelidikan lebih lanjut, tes rambut menyatakan positif. Idola itu bahkan mengaku bahwa ia mengisap ganja saat menghadiri sebuah klub di Jepang. Di sisi terang, karena ini adalah pelanggaran pertama G-Dragon, jaksa tidak akan memberinya tuduhan serius, yang berarti ia tidak akan secara resmi didakwa. Meskipun demikian, ia telah mengambil kerugian besar semua karena penggunaan ganja.


Agensi mereka, YG Entertainment, juga memperjuangkan sumber pendapatan terbesar mereka. Menurut laporan tahunan mereka, 27,98% dari total pendapatan mereka untuk semester pertama tahun ini berasal dari konser Big Bang sendiri. Wheesung is preparing to say goodbye to his singing career with a bang. Korea’s famous R&B crooner will enlist with the military in November, but before he goes, he’ll be promoting one last album.
An MV teaser was released today of his title song, “The Guys are Coming“, and it promises explosive visuals to match the rapidfire raps and soulful melody.

2PM’s Chansung to become a macho thief for the drama “Kaito Royale”

Today it was announced that 2PM’s Chansung has been cast in the upcoming midnight drama “Kaito Royale” (TBS), his first regular role in a Japanese drama.
“Kaito Royale” is a live-action adaption of a popular social game on Mobage, where players are able to become different types of phantom thieves and collect treasures. With the announcement of the drama one month ago, we’ve already learned that actor Matsuzaka Tori is going to disguise himself as an intelligent thief, actress Omasa Aya as a sexy thief, and actor Fukushi Seiji a technically gifted thief.
The ’skilled type’ actually isn’t part of the game and so fans and players were curious whether the strong, ‘macho type’ would make into the drama as well. Today, TBS finally announced that there indeed will be a macho thief named Jack, and that he is going to be played by 2PM’s Chansung. Being a trained martial artist with high ranks in Taekwondo and Kumdo, he sure seems to fit into the role well.
Chansung commented, “I hope you will not only remember me as a singer, but also as Chansung the actor.” Furthermore he added, “I’m still in the process of improving my Japanese, but I want to tackle the role of ‘Jack‘ with all my strength.”
As he stated in his comments, he might not yet impress people with his Japanese, but it’s said that he has already left the actors’ martial-arts teacher dumbfounded, when he demonstrated his Taekwondo skills on the set.
He also already won over the heart of the producer of the show, who commented, “The action scenes with Chansung are the highlights of the drama. I’m a guy, but even I think that he’s cool.”
Together with the announcement of Chansung’s role, TBS also revealed that Maya Kyoko, Sasaki Nozomi, and Shimojo Atomu are going to take part in this drama.
Back in September, there were rumors of Chansung joining the cast for Fuji TV’s, ‘My 99 Days with a Star‘ but that role went to fellow member Taecyeon, now Chansung has his own role in “Kaito Royale.”
TBS is schedule to air the first episode of “Kaito Royale” on October 28th.

Super Junior to embark on a world tour this November

As major ambassadors of the Hallyu wave, Super Junior will kickstart a full-blown world tour this November, titled ‘Super Show 4‘!
Starting in Seoul, the tour will then head over to Osaka, Beijing, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore. Reportedly, the group will also make their way to the States as well as Europe to meet with fans all across the globe.
Last year’s ‘Super Show 3‘ covered 13 cities across Asia for a total of 20 concerts. After receiving constant love calls from all over the world, Super Junior decided to please fans with a global tour this time around.
The tour will officially begin with two concerts on November 19th and 20th at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium. Tickets go on sale on October 13th at 8:00 PM through G-Market, but fans will have to be quick – with a group as huge as these guys, tickets are bound to sell out in an instant!

Big Bang’s G-Dragon will not be blacklisted from broadcast appearances

Big Bang‘s G-Dragon made headlines recently after it was revealed he tested positive for marijuana usage. Considering how his peers in the industry were blacklisted for scandals, netizens have been wondering whether he too will be banned from appearing on the nation’s biggest public broadcasting channels, KBS, MBC, and SBS.
Fans can breathe a sigh of relief, as KBS, MBC, and SBS officially announced that “appearance sanctions [against G-Dragon] will not be made.”
To start, KBS and MBC have confirmed that they will not be imposing any restrictions on G-Dragon. A representative of KBS stated, “Kwon Ji Yong‘s indictment is currently suspended and thus he is not standing before the law. Consequently, imposing a restriction would be difficult.”
MBC also announced, “We could talk about appearance restrictions, but opening a whole conference is not yet decided. We would usually have a meeting if it were civil or criminal cases, but when a case’s indictment is suspended, we typically will not open one.”
SBS also came out with similar announcements to KBS and MBC, stating that chances of restricting G-Dragon’s TV appearance would be low.
Normally, an official decision for a celebrity’s removal from a broadcast appearance is made after each of the broadcasting stations hold a meeting with the Performers’ Regulation Commission. Currently, a total of twelve celebrities have been blacklisted by MBC and KBS after being hit with drug-related charges. Some of these include Oh Kwang Rok, Yoon Sul Hee, Jun In Kwon, Ju Ji Hoon, and Crown J.

Pada akhir Mei 2008, media massa mulai memberitakan tentang adanya grup baru dari SM Entertainment yang diberi nama Shinee.^[1][9] Setelah dirilis pada 23 Mei 2008,^[4] album mini pertama Shinee Replay masuk ke urutan nomor 10 tangga lagu Korea sebelum terhenti di urutan nomor delapan. Album mini Replay terjual 17.957 kopi pada paruh pertama tahun 2008.^[10]
Pada 7 Juni 2008, Shinee berpartisipasi dalam Dream Concert di Stadion Olimpiade Seoul bersama artis-artis Korea lainnya seperti Epik High, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, TVXQ, dan Wonder Girls.^[11][12] Penghargaan "Artis Pendatang Baru Bulan Ini" didapat mereka dari Cyworld Digital Music Award, 22 Juni 2008.^[13] Shinee ambil bagian dalam SMTown Live '08 yang diadakan pada tanggal 18 Agustus 2008. SM Entertainment mengumumkan Shinee akan merilis album mini kedua pada 21 Mei 2009.^[25] Singel pertama "Juliette" diedarkan pada tanggal 18 Mei 2009.^[26][27] Namun, diumumkan kembali kalau kemunculan Shinee harus ditunda karena gigi depan Onew cedera, dan album mini kedua harus ditunda sampai tanggal 25 Mei 2009.^[26][28] Shinee akhirnya benar-benar kembali dalam acara Music Bank di KBS, 5 Juni 2009.^[29] Di album Romeo juga, Micky Yoochun menciptakan lirik rap pada lagu "Senorita".
Shinee merilis album mini ketiga mereka,2009, Year Of Us pada 19 Okober 2009, tepatnya 5 bulan setelah mereka merilis album mini terakhir mereka. Singel yang dijagokan dari album mini ini adalah "Ring Ding Dong" yang dirilis secara digital pada tanggal 14 Oktober. Comeback pertama mereka dilakukan pada tanggal 16 Oktober 2009 di acara KBS Music Bank. Pada awal Desember 2009, Shinee memenangkan "Popularity Award" bersama dengan grup yang satu manajemen dengan mereka, Super Junior, pada acara Golden Disk Awards ke-24^[30]. Delapan bulan setelah album mini ketiga mereka dirilis, SM Entertainment memunculkan foto teaser dari setiap member untuk album baru mereka, dimulai dari Minho pada 8 Juli 2010 sampai dengan tanggal 12 Juli 2010, yang diakhiri dengan Key. Group ini telah merencanakan kembalinya mereka di panggung KBS Music Bank pada tanggal 16 Juli 2010, untuk memulai promosi album baru mereka.^[3] Namun, disebabkan oleh cedera Minho pada saat syuting Dream Team 8 Juli, penampilan mereka ditunda hingga 23 Juli.^[31] Album penuh kedua dengan judul Lucifer, dijadwalkan rilis pada tanggal 19 Juli di Korea Selatan.
Album Hello merupakan album repackage dari album kedua mereka, Lucifer. Album ini berisi 16 trek: 13 trek dari album Lucifer dan tambahan 3 trek baru. Trek dari album ini dirilis pada tanggal 1 oktober 2010, dan dijual di pasaran pada tanggal 4 Oktober 2010, dengan menggunakan "Hello" sebagai singel yang dijagokan. Pada 26 Desember 2010, Shinee mengadakan konser tunggal pertama mereka, Shinee World, di Gedung Olah Raga Nasional Yoyogi, Tokyo, Jepang. Konser tersebut dihadiri oleh sekitar 24.000 pengunjung. Mereka juga meluncurkan video klip balada "Quasimodo" dari album Lucifer. Sebelumnya, Shinee mengadakan konferensi pers dan menyatakan bahwa mereka akan membuat album di Jepang pada Maret 2011 berkaca dari kesuksesan mereka di Jepang tahun 2010. ^[32][33] Pada 16 Mei 2011, EMI Music Jepang meluncurkan teaser singel Shinee berbahasa Jepang berjudul "Replay" lewat kanal YouTube resmi mereka. Shinee pernah menjadi bintang dalam acara realitas, Shinee's YunHaNam di televisi kabel MNet. Acara ini hanya berlangsung 12 episode dari 8 Agustus 2008 hingga 16 Oktober 2008. Dalam setiap episode, anggota Shinee ditugaskan untuk berkencan dengan wanita yang usianya berada di atas usia anggota Shinee sebelum akhirnya wanita tersebut memilih sendiri anggota yang benar-benar akan diajak kencan berdua.^[35] Shinee juga merekam lagu "Stand By Me" untuk serial drama Boys Over Flowers yang diadaptasi dari manga Boys Over Flowers oleh Yoko Kamio.^[36] Selain menjadi model iklan Smart, Shinee juga merekam lagu "Blue Pink Song" untuk promosi produk mereka.^[5] Mereka juga merekam singel digital "Bodyguard" (보디가드) untuk promosi telepon genggam Samsung Anycall.^[37] Pada tahun 2010, mereka juga menjadi bintang dalam acara Hello Baby yang ditayangkan oleh KBS.
